Phenomenal Homes. Exceptional Care. Thriving Families.

Our Mission

Raj and Maureen Hillary are the passionate founders behind Indie Lifestyle, united by a shared commitment to supporting people with disabilities and their families to live enriched, empowered, and connected lives. With more than 20 years of pastoral experience, they have walked alongside countless families, providing encouragement, care, and a strong sense of
community for those who often feel isolated in their journey.

For Raj and Maureen, this mission is deeply personal. Through years of supporting families within the disability community, they continually heard one heartfelt concern from parents of children with special needs: “If something happens to us, where will our children live?” This question became the driving force behind Indie Lifestyle – not simply to provide housing, but to create genuine homes that offer safety, belonging, independence, and peace of mind for both participants and their families.

Maureen brings over 30 years of experience across nursing, counselling, and community services, adding a compassionate and holistic approach to the vision they share. Together, Raj and Maureen understand that young adults with disabilities desire the same opportunities as their peers – the chance to live independently, build meaningful relationships, and
experience a life filled with dignity, purpose, and joy.
